Job Title: Quality Manager

Tenure: Full-Time

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 annually + other benefits

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all activities within the Quality Department. This role will develop and implement quality policies and procedures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations, adhere to the company's internal quality standards, and maintain compliance with ISO and industry regulations. The position requires hands-on involvement in quality control, oversight of quality staff, and leadership in ISO certification and recertification processes.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and finished products.
• Create inspection and testing procedures and design documentation for capturing and reporting quality data.
• Utilize measurement tools and apply quality techniques, including material traceability, ASME/US welding standards, metallurgy, and non-destructive testing.
• Manage the disposition process for nonconforming materials, including cost analysis and root cause investigations.
• Develop and conduct quality training for team members to ensure consistent application of policies and standards.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and oversee record-keeping for all production activities.
• Implement corrective action systems to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate with the purchasing team to improve vendor quality.
• Review quality requirements for new projects and develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for each contract.
• Track and report quality metrics and key performance indicators to drive performance improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment, preferably in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Mining.
• Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP systems (Infor Visual Manufacturing preferred).
• Familiarity with standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, CSA, and API.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of weld procedures.
